There was a little town called Hamelin. One day a lot of rats suddenly came into the town. The rats were noisy and fierce and ate up whatever food they could find. Soon the people were worried as there was very little food left. The Mayor of the town said there would be a big reward for anyone who could get the town rid of the rats. But no one could stop the rats. Then one day a strange man came in the town. He said, “I am the Pied Piper. I can get the town rid of your rats”. The Mayor said, “If you can do it, the reward is yours!” The Pied Piper started playing on his pipe. At once, all of the rats came running out to follow him. They followed him into the river. The rats were all drowned. The Pied Piper went to collect his reward. But the Mayor would not pay him saying, “The rats have gone. You can go too.” The Pied Piper said angrily, “You will be sorry for this”. He started playing his pipe again. All the children came running out to listen. They laughed and sang and danced as they followed him. Their parents called the children, but they followed the Pied Piper as he walked out of the town. Dear Wahab,
How are you? I hope you are fine. I am also well. I want to inform you about the activities of a pied-piper. A pied-piper plays on flutes. He entertains people. He has keen interest in making melody. He does not want to get any return of his activities. He gets mental happiness in doing so. Snake charmers also use flute to tame and play with snakes. In the rural areas, we can see pied-pipers. They play flutes at night. We have also read the story of the pied-piper of Hamelin.
No more today. More when we will meet.
Your loving friend,
Mohammad Ali.

Three fishes lived together in a lake. They were grown-up into bigger fishes and they were happy. The first fish always dwelt in the past and was very lazy. It usually thought lot, made the decision wisely and always carried smart and interesting ideas, suggestions and plans to live happily and safely. One day, two fishermen came in the lake catching fishes. The third fish told the other two fishes, “See they are planning to catch out us. We should go to some other place to live safely. I already found a route that will take us to the nearby canal and we may then reach a new lake.” The second fish agreed to it partially but the first fish said, “Oh let’s just ignore it. Let us have some rest now!” The third fish, the intelligent one, moved to the nearby lake through the secret way alone as the other two fishes denied accompanying. The second fish saw them at fishing and planned for an escape. As it was caught in the fishing net, it acted dead. The fishermen threw it back into the lake and the second was escaped. On the other hand, the first fish, the lazy one had no idea about the presence of the fishermen. Very soon it was caught and before it could think about how to escape, he was put into the basket and lost his life in a few minutes. Dear Sabikun,
I received your letter yesterday. I came to know that you are somewhat ill. I became a little bit worried. Our PEC examination is knocking at the door.
I heard that you don't like to take fishes. Fishes are very important for our health. They contain a lot of food elements needed for our good health. They preserve our eyesight. They make our bones strong and healthy. They recover the lack of energy that we feel after our sickness.
Please take as many fishes as you can. Please write me back if you are fully ok.

Dear Mostafa Sarwar,
How are you? I received your letter yesterday. You wanted to know about the life of a magician. It is required by you as a help for writing a school assignment. I am going to give you a pen picture of a magician.
Magician is a person who uses magic power to perform his tasks. He uses black art with the help of some small objects. He wears strange robe. He casts spells to make his life easier and comfortable. Some magicians use magic to do good to the society. They try to make bad people good. Some magicians use it for getting his desired object. Some magicians are found selfish and they try to take revenge using magical power. They only use magic spells to make bad people good. If they improve, they take his magic spell off them. A magician does not do any house work. He uses his spells to do household works. This is all about the life of a magician.
No more today. More if we meet.
Your loving friend,
Malek.

I've made a new friend. His name's Altaf. He's a nice boy. He is always friendly and helpful. Everybody likes him. On my first day at school he sat beside me. We talked and spent a lot of time together. The other day, he took me to a book store in the town. We also visited the public library. He's also a witty person. He often tells jokes and riddles.
Anyway, I miss you all very much. Write to me soon. Tell me about you and other friends.
Love
Murad/Sima.

I had a wonderful day in the last week at the zoo. I went there with my uncle and two cousins. There are snakes of different kinds and sizes, monkeys, bears, camels, elephants, deer, rhinos, giraffes, crocodiles and many other animals in the zoo. The Royal Bengal Tigers and lions are also available there. I was amazed at the melodious chirping of numerous birds. Dear Wahab,
How are you?

Your loving friend,
Marwa.

Your loving friend,
Malek.

Dear Nazmul/Neela,
Take my earnest love. Hope you are well. You wanted to know about my recent visit to the zoo at Mirpur. Let me write a few lines about it.
My joys scattered far and wide with the sight of peahen's dance with their gaudy wings wide open. I really enjoyed my visit to the zoo.
This is all for today.
Your lovingly
Leon/Luna.
